Does ScreenVow block websites itself?
No. Apple's Screen Time does the actual restricting on your phone. ScreenVow generates your passcode, holds onto it securely, and manages the commitment timer.
Can I get my passcode back during an active commitment?
No — not before your commitment period ends. That's the entire point: the decision gets made once, while you're thinking clearly, and can't be undone on impulse.
What happens when my commitment ends?
You can request your passcode from your dashboard. There's a one-hour wait after you request it — a last deliberate pause — then it's shown to you, and you're free to reconfigure Screen Time however you like.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Nothing changes with your commitment. Your subscription and your commitment are separate — cancelling billing stops future charges, but it doesn't end an active commitment or reveal your passcode early.
Does it work on Android?
Not yet. ScreenVow currently supports iPhone and Apple's Screen Time. Android support may come later.
What happens if I switch to a new iPhone?
ScreenVow doesn't track which device you used — it just holds the passcode for whatever restrictions you configured. If you move to a new iPhone, you'd set up Screen Time restrictions on it yourself and can start a fresh commitment there.
Is my Screen Time passcode actually secure?
It's encrypted before it's ever stored, and the encryption key is kept separate from the database. There's no admin tool or support process that can pull up your passcode early — including for us.
Do I need to install an app?
No. ScreenVow works entirely through your browser. The only thing you do on your iPhone itself is Apple's own Screen Time setup.
Is this guaranteed to stop me from ever getting around it?
No, and we won't claim otherwise. ScreenVow makes it harder to impulsively undo a restriction you set while motivated — it isn't designed to make that physically impossible.
